Action #5:Support S2074 - the PRESS Act-Protect Reporters from Exploitative State Spying

How:  

1. Contact Both our Senators.  This is urgent. The Democrats currently hold

the Senate majority but are almost out of time to support this important

legislation.  Senator contact info below.

2. Urge President Biden to sign it into law!

3. Write a letter to the editor. See this webpage:

Summary: The bill prevents the government from forcing journalists to reveal

their confidential sources and limits clandestine seizure of their data.  Passing

this bill will thwart Trump's efforts to exact revenge against journalists and

whistleblowers who are doing the important work of informing and protecting

us.  The bill has wide support but is hung up by Tom Cotton in the Senate

Judiciary Committee.  The press needs these protections if it is going to keep

us from being hoodwinked and brainwashed!
