Action #6 Reject anti-immigration extremism directed at Hancock County!
Background: Hancock County and Cumberland County are apparently the only
counties in Maine* in the crosshairs of anti-immigration, racist, extremist Stephen
Miller and his hate group “America First Legal”. Miller is profiled by the Southern
His outfit has sent a threatening letter directed at local officials across the
country, purportedly including our Hancock County Commissioners, although as
of this writing the letter hadn’t been received in Hancock Co.

Action: Support our local officials and urge them to stand strong in the face of
right-wing bullying. Write or call EACH of the County Commissioners, expressing
support for a reasonable and humane policy that comports with existing laws,
rather than bending our rules to curry favor with right-wing scare mongers like
Stephen Miller. Any letter or email to the commissioners should be copied to the
county sheriff, Scott Kane, who would be the official on the front lines. Also copy
the Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey.
