  • Matthew Dunlap is the current Maine State Auditor and former Secretary of State and a former state legislator.

    He officially launched his campaign on Oct. 6, 2025.

  • Louis Sigel lives in Gardiner and filed candidacy paperwork with the FEC on July 7, 2025.

  • Jordan Wood initially ran for U.S. Senate in this cycle, but on Nov. 12, 2025 switched to the CD2 race.

    He is the founder of democracyFIRST, a bipartisan pro-democracy organization. He was also chief of staff for former Rep. Katie Porter (D-Calif.)

  • State Sen. Joe Baldacci officially launched his campaign on Jan. 12, 2026. He currently represents voters in Bangor and Hermon in the State Senate.

    June 2026 Maine Primary

    Paul LePage previously served two terms as Governor of Maine, from 2011 to 2019. He previously served as Mayor of Waterville and as a city councilor.

    "I do not need a job, I am running to protect our Maine jobs. I am running to serve the people of Maine and help the president fix Washington," LePage said in his campaign announcement.

  • James Clark is an Army veteran and a self-described non-politician. He says "if I’m going to step into the arena of American politics, I refuse to imitate the worst of it."
