Voting Rights with Shenna Bellows

This month we will welcome Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows to speak with us. She will talk about her actions to protect and expand voting rights for all eligible citizens. Bellows has dedicated herself to secure and accessible elections, including supporting online voter registration and automatic voter registration at BMV. She will specifically address her strong opposition to the SAVE Act and other measures which limit voter access or otherwise make voting more difficult for many. As Maine’s 50th Secretary of State and the first female in that position, Bellows’ commitment is to “vigorously defend Mainers’ freedom to vote and fight against any efforts to make it harder for Maine voters to make their voices heard at the ballot box.”

This month we will meet both in person at the UU Church in Ellsworth and via Zoom. Registration for Zoom participation is required in advance. Register for the Zoom meeting by noon the day before the meeting, HERE.
