Action 28: write a letter to Senator Collins for hand delivery tomorrow, 5 February!*

Background:

A small group will be meeting with Collins’ staff in Bangor on Wednesday, 2/5.

This was scheduled just today (Monday) and we will be spending all day Tuesday developing a briefing book. The subjects we plan to cover are the unconstitutional coup currently underway, and the unfit nominations still not confirmed by the Senate. The meeting space is small, so we agreed to no more than 6 participants. All those slots are filled. BUT....WE WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO INCLUDE A LETTER FROM YOU TO THE SENATOR.

Simply type your text in the form of a letter on standard size paper.

PDF it, and send it as an email attachment to abbiemcmillen@mac.com.

Any letter arriving before 6 AM on Wednesday will be included in the briefing book.

We are planning more of these visits. As the Maine legislative session heats up, we might also be trekking to Augusta to testify and/or lobby.

*A factoid: February 5 is the anniversary of the 2020 (first) impeachment acquittal of Trump by the Senate. Senator Collins voted to acquit. But she voted to convict in the February 2021 (second) impeachment. Thank her for that! If just 10 more senators had joined her, we wouldn’t be in the pickle we are currently in.
